How would you describe this look?
This look is a high ponytail braided look, and my favorite thing about it is that it’s easy to maintain, and you can put it in a bun as well.
Any advice for someone considering it?
Use a light oil in between the braids to keep the hair moisturized and put a headwrap on every night and a light sheen spray in the morning. Anyone can wear this hairstyle.

How would you describe this look?
This is a simple yet fun look that was inspired by an Instagram friend @trencitajohnson. It is simply two French braids down the center and crossed over a high ponytail, dropping down into two regular three-strand braids. The weight of the braids holds them in place. I think it has a cool, edgy look that looks great on all ages. This can be worn for sports, school, or even to a concert!
Any advice for someone considering it?
This style works best on hair that is past the shoulder blades just so the braids have some length and hang well. If there is any wave in the hair, it might be easier to style if you straighten it first. As always, I recommend the Herbal Essences Set Me Up Spray Gel to tame the fly-aways. This is a quick style that will probably only takes 15-20 minutes max. Give it a try!
Braids with a Twist

How would you describe this look?
My favorite thing about this style is how beautiful yet simple it is! This style can easily be achieved for medium-length to long hair. The longer your hair, the more dramatic the rope twists will look.
This pigtailed rope twist style can be achieved best on damp hair using a cream/mousse/gel to help keep flyaways down as you style. Part the hair down the middle, starting at the top of the head down to the nape of the neck and secure with your favorite elastics/ties into two pigtails. Split a single pigtail into two sections and then twist both of those sections (separately) to the right. If you’d like, you can add a workable wax/pomade into each twisted section to give extra hold. As you start to see the twisted sections take form, you will then wrap the right over the left and continue to twist and repeat until you reach the end. Again, secure the ends together with your favorite elastics/ties. Move to the other pigtail and repeat! Finish with your favorite hairspray if needed!
Any advice for someone considering it?
I would recommend this style for all ages! It’s a great style if you want to keep your hair out of your face and neck on hot days.
It’s perfect for a casual everyday look where you could loosen up the twists to give it more texture for a boho type of style or keep it nice and tight for those sporty outdoor activities such as soccer, hiking, golf, horseback riding, etc. It would even be a great style to wear under a hat during the winter for activities such as skiing/snowboarding, ice skating, sledding, or even ice hockey!

How would you describe this look?
These double Dutch braids are done with 5-strand ribbon braids. Three of the strands are hair; two are ribbon.
Any advice for someone considering it?
This style works best in long hair that’s damp or with some hair product to control fly-aways. Also, using two colors of ribbon makes it easier to keep the strands in order. The ribbons should start in the 3rd and 4th positions in the five-strand braid.

This is my favorite kind of braid. The pull-through braid it’s called. I love how voluminous and long this braid looks! It reminds me of a mermaid style.

This look can be achieved with medium length or long length hair. There’s a lot of elastics with this style. The thickness of the hair will determine how much volume you can get with each pull through.
