How would you describe this look?
I love the softness in this inverted A-line lob haircut. It’s easy to work with and requires very little maintenance. The curls add the perfect amount of movement to the hair and accent the minimal layers beautifully. The cut itself requires very little maintenance as it grows out.
Any advice for someone considering it?
This look is perfect for anyone looking for the first step in taking their hair shorter. The cut pairs beautifully with a soft curl using a wider barrel curling iron. Anyone looking to add more of a tousled look should also pair this with a texturizing spray. Anyone looking to keep the shape should expect to be getting it cut every 6-8 weeks. However, if you are looking to chop your hair and then let it grow out, this cut grows out smoothly.

How would you describe this look?
This long A-line bob with fringe is very trendy and fun! I added a lot of layering to add volume and movement. She also has a shorter side bang that I texturized as well. It is probably one of my favorite haircuts to give clients. The color is a glossy, berry red – which brings out her gorgeous complexion and spunky personality.
Any advice for someone considering it?
One reason this long A-line bob hairstyle one of my favorite cuts to give is that it should be easy for my clients to style at home. Depending on the hair texture, they can add a texture spray, style it, and go. Other times – they can smooth it out with or without volume. Just about anybody can wear this cut and style but the color is for the bold and fierce! ? If a client is willing to come in for regular touch-ups at the salon and follow at-home color care – they can keep this beautiful, shiny color for weeks at a time.

How would you describe this look?
This long A-line bob with bangs is modern chic. My favorite thing about this is the clean angle with the bangs. It gives your basic shoulder-length hair, an edgy style, and you have versatile styling options!
Any advice for someone considering it?
Think about your natural hair state, whether it’s curly/textured or straight, and how much work you might need to put into it. Those with curly or wavy hair will have to put more effort into achieving this style.

Long Stacked A-Line Bob Hairstyle

How would you describe this look?
This is an angled lob haircut or long A-line bob haircut with slight layering. The layering was done with texturizing shears, which is a great way to add movement to the hair without removing a lot of lengths. Then I finished off the look with my Kenra Dry Texture Spray to add volume and texture!
Any advice for someone considering it?
A long bob or a lob is a great option for someone who likes the look of a bob but doesn’t want to make the commitment to the shorter length. I also love the versatility and low-maintenance aspect of the angled cut. The way the cut follows the angle of the chin line makes it flattering on any face shape!
Long Choppy A-Line Bob

How would you describe this look?
The A-line inverted lob cut is a huge hit right now for multiple reasons. This cut is easy to maintain both on a day to day basis and while the cut is growing out. The “invisible layers” accent the blunt shape while adding movement. The invisible layers can easily be tousled for textured or smoothed for a sleek look.
Any advice for someone considering it?
If you’re considering this look I always suggest starting with a length you’re comfortable with. Remember you can always make it into a short A-line bob cut. This haircut can easily be worn straight, curly, or wavy. One thing to keep in mind if you constantly throw your hair back is that you will only be able to do a half updo. It can still be cute and fashionable or simply just keep your hair out of your face.
If you are wanting to keep the style of the cut, I recommend getting it cut every 6-8 weeks. As far as styling products go, I would pair every lob with a heat protectant (essential for every hair type) to protect your hair no matter how you are styling it. A texture spray is a good investment if you like the tousled beachy look, as it gives the hair a gritty feel without making it dirty.
Messy Long A Line Bob for Fine Hair

How would you describe this look?
This look is known as a dimensional layered bob A-line bob cut on longer hair. It’s great for people with fine to medium hair. In my opinion, it makes them look like they have more hair! My favorite thing about this look is that everything is subtle. The color has a soft dimension to it, and the layers are light but they stand out more with the curl we added.
Any advice for someone considering it?
The advice I would give a client considering this A-line long bob would vary depending on the person. The cut is a little more angled to the front which elongates round faces. It needs to be maintained every 4-6 weeks to reshape, meaning it’s not the best for someone that wants to come to the salon only 3-4 times a year. As far as styling it, it’s very versatile. For the color, this client will have to use a color-safe shampoo & conditioner and get a color touch up every 4-6 weeks along with her haircuts.
Dark Long A Line Bob with Highlights

How would you describe this look?
With this look, I went with a long A-line bob style with light wispy textured ends and soft layers. I chose to give her baby lights and balayaged her previously lightened ends to get an overall lighter appearance. Then, I topped it off with a root shadow to give it a defused look and styled her with light curls to give her a soft tasseled ready-to-go vibe.
Any advice for someone considering it?
When my clients want this type of look, it is important to consider the type of texture they have. For instance, if it’s coarse you would consider more texturizing, or if it’s finer you’d possibly add more layers.
I would also consider the face shape, neckline, and shoulders to visualize if this is the right style for them. If it is then it’s also important to inquire if your client is a wash and go type of person. If so, give your client tips to achieve this look at home. I personally love soft-curling the ends with my Babyliss curling iron and spraying some Wella Eimi glam mist at the end to give it a gorgeous shine for those glammed out nights. I’m also known to spray in some R+Co Trophy to add texture and shine with flexible hold for those ready to go active days.
This A-line Lob is amazing for that person who likes to have fun, curl her hair when she can, but also loves a natural wave or straight texture. It’s fun and funky and easy to maintain, so keep making your clients beautiful!
